Position Overview:
Chicago Fire Football Club seeks a Manager, Youth Soccer Development to join our team! This individual will report to the Senior Director, Youth Soccer Development, and lead the day-to-day operations of our player programming and coaching education initiatives. This individual will work cross-functionally on multiple projects and drive the success of each one and deliver on both business and sporting objectives. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about youth soccer and being a part of a team that aims to support the growth of the game locally and regionally.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of youth soccer programming including Emerging Talent Centers (ETC), Residential Camps, Football Festivals, and other player development programming
Ensure all program/event registration, administrative, facility, and operational needs are organized and communicated
Formulate a promotional plan that delivers on attendance goals and the success of each program/event
Coordinate with the HR department for the hiring and onboarding of part-time staff
Support and prepare the Emerging Talent coaching team to deliver a high-level on-field product to participants through session planning and oversight
Liaise with Chicago Fire Academy staff so all player development standards are being met and exceeded with each program/event
Organize the coach education calendar and plan for hosting licenses and professional development workshops
Support the management and evolution of the Chicago Fire digital coaching platform
Assist the ticket sales department with promoting ticket packages and gameday opportunities to participants
Ensure all risk management policies and player well-being needs are met
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders of the youth soccer club and community leaders where programming and events are held
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of soccer operations and/or coaching experience
Excellent administration and organizational skills
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Minimum USSF D License or equivalent
Understanding of the youth soccer landscape in the Chicagoland area
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual who is a hands-on worker
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19
