Chatham Area Transit (CAT), serving 1,300 stops in beautiful historic downtown Savannah, GA, Chatham Co., and part of Garden City, provides over four million annual passenger trips with a fleet of 61 buses, 32 paratransit vehicles, and 4 ferries, seeks a customer-focused, innovative, strategic thinker and team player to serve as its Chief of Planning, Infrastructure & Development (CPID).
The Chief of Planning, Infrastructure & Development (CPID) is part of the Senior Management team, reporting directly to the Executive Director/CEO, and directs all planning activities to improve bus and ferry services, ridership, and revenue for CAT, including service expansion, integration & optimization, strategic, policy, and short- and long-term capital and operations plans. S/he will coordinate service planning and public activities, and manage performance standards in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and CAT’s planning staff.
Required Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Transportation Planning or related field. AICP required.
Minimum of seven years experience in multimodal planning, including in a supervisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual skills (specifically Spanish) a plus.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. ArcGIS, Remix Transit Planning software, or SPSS a plus.
