The Faculty Affairs Manager will support the Associate Provost in all matters related to Faculty Affairs. Specific Manager responsibilities include the administration of systems and processes for tenure and promotion, faculty annual review, faculty workload agreements, and Faculty180. The Manager is also responsible for training faculty and administrators on the use of Faculty180, assisting the associate provost with data and reports, and liaising with offices across campus.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Manages the administration of the tenure and promotion annual process. Develops and monitors operational calendar for academic units by setting and communicating tenure and promotion deadlines, by working with the departments and dean’s office on the submission of all tenure and promotion materials, by serving as a liaison with the UAC and by working closely with the Chancellor’s Office on the preparation of the tenure and promotion materials for the Board of Trustees. 2. Oversees the Annual Faculty Review System (Faculty180) and the Annual Faculty Review process. Ensures the accessibility and availability of Faculty180, the TCU faculty content management system; serves as a liaison with Faculty180; communicates effectively with TCU stakeholders (deans, chairs, faculty, etc.); convenes the Faculty180 Faculty Advisory and College Administrator Committees on a regular basis. 3. Develops platform in Faculty180 and manages the administration of the processes for faculty workload and tenure and promotion. 4. Assists the Associate Provost in planning, implementation, and evaluation of systems and processes. Troubleshoots and make recommendations for more efficient processes and better use of technologies and software. Provides data and reports based on data housed in Faculty180 as required by various constituencies. 5. Provides annual training for faculty and administrators regarding the use of Faculty180 including the process of data entry and report generation. 6. Liaises with internal offices (deans, departments, etc.) to develop and maintain working partnerships and works proactively and collaboratively. Ensures inclusive excellence in interactions in interacting with faculty and administrators across the disciplines and fields at TCU. 7. Ensures quality control and integrity of records and reports within Faculty180. 8. Prepares confidential reports for use by various constituencies (internal and external) on an ongoing basis. 9. Communicates as a representative of the Provost office by composing correspondence with the Provost's signature. 10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree. • 5 years of professional experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Experience working with web-based HR systems, particularly PeopleSoft. • Experience in higher education and knowledge of University academic structure, policies, and procedures.
