The Department of Economics in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Economics starting August 15, 2023. PhD by August 15, 2023 is required. We are looking for an empirical economist to conduct research and teach courses in areas such as but not limited to open economy macroeconomics, international economics, and/or labor economics (micro or macro).

Conducting research in one's area of expertise as identified above and maintaining an active, quality publication record. Research is supported with an annual teaching load of nine credit hours (typically three courses) until tenure. The candidate is expected to teach economics courses such as but not limited to principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, international economics and crypto economics/digital currencies, both in person and online at the undergraduate, graduate and PhD levels. As well as providing service to the Department of Economics and the Lindner College of Business such as but not limited to serving on committees.
Prior to date of appointment, candidate must have a doctorate in Economics.
