The Program Coordinator will oversee day-to-day administrative functions of academic media and media production programs of UC Blue Ash Media Communications & Technology department. The primary functions of the position include (a) working collaboratively with the Department Chair, faculty, and other staff to effectively and efficiently plan, design, monitor, and coordinate functions pertaining to the Media Communications & Technology department and its various academic, equipment support, service delivery, and media production programs; (b) providing production management for departmental projects including acquisition, inventory, and maintenance of production resources such as props, expendable materials, locations, permits, and all related resources; (c) producing informational and display materials in a variety of formats (audio/photo/graphic/video) using Adobe software tools; (d) compiling statistics and preparing reports; (e) in collaboration with other department faculty and staff, develop and maintain systems for monitoring data for program needs (f) interact and serve as a liaison for the department with College and University offices, students, and external partners; (g) assist the department with scheduling needs, overseeing budgets, departmental meetings and events, and general office requests to ensure that all departmental needs are met in a timely manner and (h) perform duties based on Department need; (i) assist in the support of other administrative or academic departments as needed.
Develop objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives related to the entire scope of departmental programs including academic, media production, service delivery, and contract and licensing requirements. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement and/or revision.
Provide management of departmental media production projects for planning, scheduling, production, and distribution of project including budget, logistics, resources (such as props, expendable materials, locations, permits, and subject matter specialists), marketing, and sales.
Design and produce informational and display materials for departmental media production projects in a variety of formats (audio/photo/graphic/video) using Adobe Creative Cloud software tools.
Provide financial, licensing, and contractual administrative support for program initiatives and programs.
Develop, administer, and analyze academic program data for proficiency portfolios, capstone eligibility, judging and panelist recruitment, and media competition and exhibition programs. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students, adjunct faculty, program participants, and media productions and exhibitions.
Interact with staff, faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas, and propose academic and service program changes.
Provide support for course scheduling, curriculum updates and revision, and general department purchasing and acquisition.
May provide direct/indirect supervision to student workers in the department (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Candidate will have previous experience in higher education or program coordination, project management, media production, and scheduling.
The candidate will also have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to excellence is also ideal.
