The Indiana University School of Dentistry has been advancing oral health in the state and beyond since 1879, when it was founded as the Indiana Dental College. Provides administrative support to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Dean for Student Affairs & Chief Diversity Officer. Handles daily operations of the office to include purchasing, travel, email messages, calendar monitoring and phone inquiries. Handles logistics for meetings and telephone conferences. Schedules student appointments and process student travel.
Assists in coordinating student organization events and community engagement. Manages logistics for student summer experiences. Assists prospective students interested in dental school programs.
Works with departments for students seeking adaptive education services. Manages room scheduling and proctor exams/quizzes.
Maintains digital and educational archives.
Responsible for office communications and implementation of an internal social media platform (i.e. Microsoft Yammer).
Maintains schedules and calendars for the DEI team, including the Associate Dean of Student Affairs/Chief Diversity Officer.
Responsible for implementation of DEI programs initiated by the Director and Associate Director.
Maintains an inclusive and safe environment for the IUSD office of DEI to include managing networking events with appropriate catering.
Responds to requests for program information by staff, students, and faculty; handles any necessary correspondence.
Maintains records of program activities; oversees and ensures the timely processing and delivery of required materials.
Conducts research and compiles materials and information in support of program.
Collects and helps to analyze data and information generated or produced by program; writes reports and other written materials based on this data.
Coordinates event planning related to program, while working with a wide range of people (university administrators, faculty, students, and vendors).
High school diploma or GED
2 years of related work experience

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
