Advances the goals and objectives of the University by consulting and developing Web and mobile technology solutions. Enhances and supports Drupal websites and directs growth and sustainability of environment architecture. Participates in the design, development, management and support of Web and mobile services. Provides consultation and training to faculty, staff, and other users. Facilitates the identification, advancement and adoption of innovative tools and techniques as well as new and emerging technologies. #1 - Designs, develops and supports Drupal websites to help support and enhance academic and administrative goals across the University (30%) *Plan, design and develop accessible and responsive websites for academic and administrative departments in accordance with Library and Technology Services (LTS) and industry standards *Work with website owners to improve marketing and site engagement *Assist academic and administrative departments in creating RFPs for third-party developed Drupal work; plan and work with third-party implementations of custom Drupal websites *Leverage analytics to enhance website-related business decisions *Write, test and debug website and Web application code *Ensure cross-device, cross-browser and cross-platform integrity of Web applications and sites *Maintain and enhance applications provided to the University community by Web and Mobile Services
#2 - Maintains Drupal infrastructure in conjunction with the System and Networking Administration group (20%) *Perform updates of core and contributed modules *Participate in the Drupal community through user groups, conferences and open-source contributions *Recommend and facilitate the improvement of development environments and development workflows *Recommend and implement hosted or cloud-based Drupal environments and technical solutions for client needs
#3 - Designs, develops and supports custom Web applications (20%) *Responsible for application development projects from conceptualization to launch, outlining and tracking project milestones including time, budget and personnel where appropriate *Evaluate new project requirements to recommend appropriate solutions *Evaluate existing websites and applications to determine appropriate solutions
#4 - Documents technical specifications and programs in accordance with Lehigh University Web and Mobile Services development standards and procedures (10%) *Document code and software applications to provide clarity *Create and update documentation to support development efforts *Create documentation and training materials to support end-users *Use version control and project management software as applicable to communicate changes and direction.
#5 - Contribute to the LTS organization, Lehigh University, higher education and other communities by participating in service activities and providing education and training on topics related to web and mobile services (10%) *Collaborates with other LTS members to problem solve, identify opportunities for improvement and share knowledge and information *Serves on LTS and/or University committees *Participates in LTS and University events and activities that benefit the team and/or the organizational knowledge, skills and morale *Writes and presents papers, presentations, workshops and seminars at professional conferences and to the University community *Produces supporting materials for events such as written documentation, online tutorial videos and podcasts *Participates in professional activities that contributes to the individual and team's knowledge and skills *Provides individualized training as needed
#6 - Facilitate the advancement and adoption of innovative tools and techniques as well as new and emerging technologies (10%) *Identify and evaluate new software and hardware *Recommend, implement and promote the adoption of new technologies *Disseminate information about new technology advances *Monitor current trends and advancements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Information Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master’s Degree preferred
Three to five years related work experience
Drupal website planning, site-building, theming and development
Knowledge of software and tools such as IDEs, command line, image editing software (e.g., Photoshop), Git, Composer, npm, etc.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service required
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management and sound judgment
Adept use of digital communication preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Solid analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
