Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director of Strategy Planning and Operations is responsible for planning future resource usage, budgets, and strategic operations of the Information Technology Services department. This role leads a team focused on the internal operations of the department, making sure that ITS is on track, on budget, and that our team is equipped with the right skills and training for today and tomorrow. As a member of the ITS leadership team, the Director of Strategy Planning and Operations will work with the other ITS managers and their teams to meet strategic goals for ITS and the College. The Director will support other members of ITS as appropriate.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Track IT resource usage, budgets, purchase orders, and expenditures.
Find opportunities for purchasing consolidation and spending improvements.
Forecast future budgetary needs by working in conjunction with other ITS leadership.
Oversee the IT project management office, making sure that projects are on time and on budget.
Oversee the IT procurement process and the staff associated with procurement and asset management.
Oversee the IT training operation, ensuring that IT staff are well equipped to tackle the needs of the present and the future.
Develop key performance indicators for the team, and assist the CIO with reporting on overall performance of the department.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Proven work experience as a budget manager.
Experience working in a technology operation.
Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis.
Must have a proven record of managing staff.
PMI certification is a plus.
Strong communication, team building, and collaboration skills required.
Higher education experience is preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt-level level position with an annual salary. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The annual salary for this position ranges from $114,000 - $124,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
