Job Summary:
Under the general guidance of the Program Director, this position provides leadership and is responsible for representing the program among current and prospective students. Position is responsible for self-directing day-to-day operations for the Masters of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning (MS SLL) and the Clinical Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology (SLP-D).
Please note: Position requires occasional work outside of normal business hours. This job will require occasional evening and weekend hours to maintain the recruiting and continuing education schedules.
Specific Responsibilities:
Student Affairs
Independently and effectively communicate regularly with prospective, current, and admitted students (domestic and international).
Manage student procedures including advising and prerequisite confirmation, matriculation, orientation, course registration, student progress monitoring.
With sound judgment and discretion, attend to sensitive academic and financial student affairs matters; work with other offices on campus to resolve student issues. Identify, coordinate, and provide resources and support to students. Refer student inquiries to appropriate department, if needed, and / or provide information about University processes to students.
Process and support international students with additional academic requirements toward degree. Work with International Office on student visa and compliance issues.
Create open-communication with students to assist in the transition into graduate school.
Plan and manage events: orientation, professional development, social activities, and convocation.
Admissions
Manage and execute administrative elements of program admissions and recruiting process.
Manage the comprehensive recruiting program and supporting marketing/media strategies.
Administer the online application system for more than 500 applications per cycle and maintain the CRM database ensuring effective pipeline processes.
Serve as first and ongoing point of contact for prospective students and applicants. Effectively communicate merits of and requirements for admission to the MS SLL and SLP-D programs. Must be able to convey the benefits of both programs to traditional and adult professional students. Field inquiries, info requests, and drop-ins.
Operations
Provide oversight, authorize financial transactions, and attend school business meetings. Hire, supervise, mentor, and organize day-to-day work of program and student assistant(s).
Execute program evaluations for assessment. Distribute and collect exit interview data.
Responsible for direct oversight of operating budget related to student services (meals, programs, parking, etc.).
Faculty Support
With administrative support process course scheduling and information, schedule classrooms, initiate Canvas activity, and secure instructional materials when applicable.
Advertising
Create and manage technology related communication to ensure accuracy and maximize effectiveness.
Manage website and analytics as related to the comprehensive marketing and advertising campaigns and implement all internet-based campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS or MA preferred
Three years of experience in higher education or relevant field.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Exemplary customer service skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Previous supervisory and decision-making experience.
Experience managing and allocating budgets.
Ability to prioritize, plan and organize in an efficient and productive manner with attention to detail.
Understanding of health care, rehabilitation, and/or related industries.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with professional programs and graduate students.
Master’s degree in relevant field
