Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time Special Events for the Chicago campus.
Temporary Job Description:

Position is an in-office position that provides upper level support for a team of special event professionals in Feinberg Dean’s Administration.

Including but not limited to:

• Invitations: create, email, email reminders (remove duplicate replies)
• Registrations: create, test, email confirmations, reports
• Name tags: looing up/verifying faculty titles, merges, printing, stuffing, place in transport bins
• Day of event items
• On site support, staffing at table, setup name tags, tablecloth (FSM or catering)
• Signage: Private Event, easels, pop ups, sign stands, (NOC) podium banner, photo notice.
• FeinbergEvents Email:
• Read, reply with an answer or forward to the appropriate manager if uncertain how to reply.
• Contract Signed/Deposits/Payments (invoices, Pos, Contracted Services forms), Vendor forms
• General proofreading of digital and printed documents
• Excel spreadsheet preparation: data entry, list management, data clean-up
• Demonstrated abilities are required in the following areas: Verbal/face-to-face, as well as written communication; Organizations/time management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications Required:

A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience;

Strong writing skills;

High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;

Diligent and can work independently;

Experience working with confidential information;

Professionalism;

Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment.

Software Required:

MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
