USC Athletics is looking to hire an Assistant Athletic Director, Annual Giving to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals.  This role is responsible for lead in planning, organizing, facilitating, and conducting fundraising activities for the annual fund. This position will provide strategic direction by developing and implementing a long-range plan that will emphasize on building a strong annual giving program that is focused on aggressive metrics related to increased dollars raised, and donor growth in the giving pipeline.Â

Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director, the Assistant Athletic Director, Annual Giving will work in collaboration with development office, marketing, and the ticket sales team.. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong attention to detail.. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

This is an Exempt position with work expected at nights and on weekends throughout the year.
Roles and responsibilities to include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year annual giving fundraising plan to strengthen the schoolâs fundraising program. Provide innovative and creative strategies with a focus on data analytics to acquire and retain new donors, increase alumni participation rates, and increase total dollars.  Â
- Conduct a high volume of outreach through hard mail, electronic mail, phone and visits to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors for annual gifts to the Trojan Athletic Fund ranging from $200-$50,000.
- Manage and execute various campaigns and solicitation activities utilizing direct mail, digital channels (online, email and social media), tele-fundraising, crowdfunding and mobile text giving campaigns. Analyze and report on data analytics of campaign performance, giving patterns for renewals, retentions, upgrades and acquisition of new donors.Â
- Write and develop solicitation materials, electronic assets and collateral related to the Trojan Athletic Fund.Â
- Lead all communication efforts by the Development office.
- Identify and explore upgrade pathways to further engage donors and expand donor participation.
- Partner with the major gifts team to share data and key insights that will support donor growth.Â
- Monitor industry best practices, trends and new technologies to propose innovative fundraising strategies and tactics.Â

Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification:
- Required: Direct experience working on the annual fund in an athletic departmentâs development office
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
- Minimum Experience: 3 years
- Preferred Education: Master's degree
- Preferred Experience: 4 years
- Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.
