Responsibilities The Experience Design and Support division provides strategy, direction and insights to UC Davis Health to evolve the delivery of exceptional, consistent patient experiences. This position reports to the Director, Experience Design and Insights and is responsible for applying a high degree of knowledge to the ongoing management and analysis of complex patient experience problems using data and reporting to provide insight to operational leaders.
Under general supervision, this position identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Works with business and/ or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/ available data elements. Optimizes the performance of patient experience dashboards by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user.

- Bachelor's degree and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, experience
- Three (3+) or more years of experience analyzing and visualizing data
- Demonstrated skills in Tableau and database management
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proven project management success in working effectively to meet given budgets and deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver challenging messages as well as proven proficiency to communicate effectively to lead staff, faculty and senior leadership.
- Highly developed and independently driven health care research skills with demonstrated experienced conducting quantitative and qualitative studies of all types of complexities.
- Applied knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques and demonstrated success in maintaining an abstraction schedule as well as performing data analysis of outcomes to identify trends and or opportunities for improvement.
- Track record of facilitating problem solving through data and working as part of performance improvement teams and workgroups.
- Excellent customer service skills to understand and articulate diverse clients' needs and objectives, manage expectations and deliver as promised on time.
- Thorough understanding of the use of information technology for quality improvement, appreciation of the value of data analytics, and commitment to human-centered approaches.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage many interrelated tasks.
- Ability to analyze complex situations or problems and effectively apply program evaluation skills to contribute to their resolution.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Epic experience and/or Epic Clarity certification
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with CMS patient experience CAHPS programs and related survey environments.
- Previous experience managing patient and/or employee satisfaction survey/engagement environment and providing in depth analysis of all patient and employee metrics.
Special Requirements - This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
