Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities:
Analyzes, develops, implements, and maintains websites and emerging media applications in support of the brand, communications, and recruiting needs of the Kelley School of Business.
Collaborates with staff from the Kelley Office of Marketing and Communication, Kelley School of Business IT, IU Communications, and various Kelley programs, departments, centers, and student organizations to understand, design, and develop applicable technology solutions.
Contributes to developing and maintaining high-end digital media products, including websites, applications, analytics, and frameworks.
Determines technical feasibility and design solutions that meet functional requirements and support standards.
Conducts related planning, design, programming, testing, implementation, and support of products.
Responsible for coding new websites and maintaining existing websites within the Kelley website environment, performing technical oversight of digital properties for general maintenance of outdated content, accessibility, styles, and compliance with web standards.
Responds quickly and professionally and covers day-to-day web requests for new content, updates, and technology research. Assists in developing and maintaining CMS templates, front-end systems, web productions, and web services using HTML, XML, Javascript, and web programming. Updates existing digital content to match ongoing design needs.
Other duties may include technical documentation, complex analysis, research, application development with PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL, and Microsoft .Net technologies, C#, Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
General Responsibilities:
Develops high-performing websites and web applications, including building and implementing back-end (APIs, databases) and front end (interfaces, web-based tools) solutions.
Consults with stakeholders and/or web administrator to review existing websites/webpages; develops new functionality and/or codes necessary web changes.
Develops data structures, web tools and programs while taking into consideration multi-browser and mobile compatibility and performance.
Documents website and web application development efforts (changes, new functionality, issue/problem resolution).
Tests website and web application performance and functionality, performs quality assurance checks, and fixes bugs accordingly.
Acts as a liaison between design/creative teams and stakeholders to ensure optimum functionality, performance, accessibility, scalability, and security of websites and web applications.
Ensures that all protocols used in the development and maintenance of websites are up to date and compliant with university policies and standards; researches and stays up-to-date on new industry web standards, emerging media technology, UX/UI design/philosophy, and accessibility standards.

EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
2 years of full stack web development or related experience.

Experience with any of the following: AJAX, JQuery, Velocity, Cascade Server CMS, XML/XSLT, REST APIs, SQL, Salesforce API, Google Analytics, CMS software (Velocity or Cascade), SEO Best Practices, and responsive design.
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
