Job Description

MSK is seeking an Associate Director of Asset Lifecycle Management. We are in search of a candidate who will drive the development and execution of an in-house end to end service strategy for biomedical equipment and devices.
You'll partner with administrative and clinical leaders, Biomedical Engineers, Supply Chain team members, Plant Operators, IT professionals, and suppliers to obtain shared vision, implementation, and strategic development of the Asset Lifecycle Program. The initial development of this program will be focused on medical assets with the possibility of expanding to other asset categories in the future.

You Will:
- Develop and oversee a medical asset management program which will cover the planning, acquisition, logistics, inventory management and end of life decisions for over 36,000 assets.
- Build a small team of project managers, inventory management technicians and asset recovery managers to support end to end asset lifecycle management processes.
- Create and implement consistent policies and procedures/workflows that support the Asset Management program and assures service level compliance.
- Partner with teams including Finance, Biomedical Engineering, and Leadership to establish operational objectives and plans for asset categories.
- Work with capital planning and review committees in developing and managing capital replacement plans and priorities.
- Support Supply Chain as a technical specialist on equipment selection and sourcing.
- Provide expertise and advice with regards to service contract negotiation, management, and performance monitoring.
- Advise in the development of equipment standards and equipment utilization for all types of medical equipment.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet objectives
- Ensure the regulatory and compliance needs are met, internal controls are sound, and documentation is completed.
You have:
- Proven ability at managing complex projects
- Excellent customer relationship building skills which will help serves as the interface between medical equipment partners and all MSK functional business areas
- Analytical and interpersonal skills to present creative approaches and solutions to strategic business issues.
- Ability to manage up and influence without authority.
- Fundamental understanding of asset management life cycle management and/or capital budgeting processes.
- Strong digital literacy, including familiarity with data base management, systems and electronic spreadsheets.
