This is a split responsibility position working half-time with the UNL Principal Investigator on the NSF CMS award, a multi-faceted project with multiple subawards and assisting with project/program management duties. The other half of the position will be working in Sponsored Programs performing management activities for outgoing subawards under grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts received by UNL. Provide specialized guidance to faculty and staff in managing and closing out subawards. Review and analyze requests for new outgoing subawards and modifications to existing subawards. Process, manage and close subawards. Review financial reports from subrecipients to ensure compliance with the prime award and subrecipient monitoring requirements. Perform specialized project management, monitoring, and reporting tasks for large center awards. Provide oversight, training, and/or mentoring for other OSP/Departmental staff.

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field plus 4 years of experience in an accounting, educational or governmental office setting; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software. Experience with accountancy. Must be able to demonstrate very few mistakes in transactions work, including account set up and manipulation. Demonstrated ability to stay on top of project tasks appropriately throughout project timeline. Ability to access database warehouse for information to help make the job tasks easier. Must be able to complete work in SAP or other automated system quickly and efficiently. Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations – Uniform Guidance, FAR clauses and CFR. Knowledge of federal agency-specific rules and requirements.

Experience in a university or state grants setting. Post award grant management experience. Experience with all Microsoft Office products, SAP, and UNL data warehouse.
