Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide operational support and system subject matter expertise for the InfoEd system (Niner Research) and the Banner Research Accounting module. This includes the management of system integrations, researching and resolving problems, and providing systems analysis and project management for implementations and process improvements. This position is the lead analyst on projects and new initiatives for Research and Economic Development related to InfoEd and Banner Research. Responsibilities include organizing teams, writing technical requirements, working with other OneIT on solutions, and testing modifications or improvements. This position is also responsible for leading and developing the testing plans for integrations with InfoEd as well as the plans for Banner upgrades that impact the Research Accounting module.
This position provides functional and technical operational support for the InfoEd Software (Niner Research) and the Banner Research Accounting module by collaborating with partners, responding to and resolving integration failures, testing due to upgrades or new solutions, supporting the Niner Research System Administrator, researching and implementing new functionality options, analyzing and identifying data inconsistencies, and producing and maintaining documentation.
This position is also responsible for leading and developing the testing plans for integrations with InfoEd (Niner Research) as well as the plans for Banner upgrades that impact the Research Accounting module.
This position provides Research related reporting using WebFocus or SQL and collaborates with the Business Intelligence team to provide reporting solutions.
Using systems analysis techniques, this position identifies, recommends, and implements solutions to enhance or increase business process efficiency. Responsibilities include organizing teams, writing technical requirements, working with other OneIT on solutions, and testing modifications or improvements.
This position leads and manages assigned small to medium scale projects by organizing stakeholders, tracking tasks and progress, and providing management updates.
Minimum Experience / Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field from an accredited institution. Experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Banner
- Experience as a business analyst in higher education
- Experience with research accounting system configuration and testing.
- 1-2 years experience in project management
- Experience mapping data for system integrations
- Experience with report development tools, preferably WebFocus
- Experience and working knowledge of SQL and SQL Developer for data analysis
- Advanced Excel knowledge, experience, and skills
- Experience documenting requirements and creating precise specifications for new development and modifications
- Experience with testing methodologies, test script creation and execution, and documenting test results
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while multi-tasking and manage tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and possesses excellent time management skills
