Who we are looking for We are interested in hiring a DevOps Production/Application Support Specialist as a part of our global high frequency Middle Office Trading Team. The role will provide you an opportunity to help us to replace any manual processes with automation. A full understanding of the transaction /trading system architecture and hands on skills to script and automate via shell scripts/power shell/python or RPA Blue Prism . Contributes to existing automation with Splunk, Dynatrace and Blue Prism to mitigate risks or implement new ideas.
The below is what we are looking for but you may not have it all, we will expect you to learn and bridge the gaps of which we have a great learning platform called Degreed, with a wide range of learning materials and sources for you. We are creating an, "above the line" culture and we need people to think like this.
What you will be responsible for - Provide and manage support across high frequency trading and collateral applications
- Build automation scripts using Unix shell scripting , Power shell and/or Python to replace manual tasks and improve processes.
- Create, maintain and run automated and manual tests across applications
- Reporting issues with deployments and coordinating with Development and business teams to resolve and fix issues
- Perform root cause analysis in detail for high severity incidents. Take necessary actions.
- Work with internal business and development on ad-hoc queries.
- Participate / Initiate in Command Center calls that impacts application availability or has business impacts.
- Weekend on call expected on rotation basis.
- Understand technical concepts and communicate them easily to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-directed team player
- Communicate and help grow a vibrant automation community across the enterprise
- Build and maintain strong relationships across internal customers to build the requirements and framework
- Be passionate about driving change through an organization
- Never accept what we have is good enough, always look through analysis and monitoring of our estate to protect our assets
What we value - BS/MS degree with 6-7 years' experience
- RPA experience will be nice to have
- Experience and desire to work in a fast paced agile environment
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Prior experience in investment banking or in a FinTech role.
- You do have proven experience working in an environment that has complicated and difficult problems to solve
- You are not afraid to try new things, it may be good, it may not work, but at least you tried and we learned together
