In bringing together experts from both the public health and legal fields, the O'Neill Institute reflects the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis.
Job OverviewThe
Program Coordinator enables smooth functioning of the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and its Initiatives, and assists Institute and Initiative staff and leadership with project and administrative needs.
They are responsible for a range of administrative tasks and functional areas, including event coordination and management, travel booking and logistics for staff and external partners, financial tracking, invoice processing, budget reconciliation, general research, writing, and copy editing.
Work InteractionsThe
Program Coordinator supports the operations of the O'Neill Institute as a whole, with a special focus on the Lancet-O'Neill Commission. Reporting to the Executive Director, they manage several processes, including but not limited to:
- Administrative processes, memos, and other associated Institute materials
- Event and meeting logistics for Initiative's year-round, domestic and international programming
- Initiative contracts management, project management and storage software
Qualifications- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
- Excel in multi-tasking, detail orientation
- Creative and a natural problem-solver
- Demonstrated professionalism is required.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and working knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems
- Knowledge of Georgetown application systems
Preferred qualifications- Experience as an executive assistant or in other support position
- Talent for managing information, contacts, calendars, booking travel, and meeting and event planning
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days on campus, 2 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
