Reporting to the VC-CFO, Information Technology Services (ITS) delivers Enterprise information technology services to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the leadership of the campus Chief Information Officer (CIO).

As a part of Business Technology Services (a division of Information Technology Services), the Student Information Services (SIS) team is responsible for supporting faculty, staff, and student transactions relating to university administrative processes. This includes enterprise applications supporting more than 41,000 students.
Come join the SIS team in a once in a generation opportunity to replace our legacy ERP Student Information System. Utilizing UC San Diego's innovative implementation methodology of integrating best-in-class modular components we are looking for skilled individuals that have a talent for implementing an enterprise scale system to meet the business needs of an R1 institution. UC San Diego has a robust integration platform (Kafka, Airflow, and WSO2-APIM) combined with our future state development platform. The incumbent will leverage their technical savvy to analyze and configure new systems to create ideal state business functionality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies advanced IT professional concepts and campus objectives to resolve highly complex issues in one or more IT areas of specialization. Acts as a lead role in solution architecture of complex enterprise systems. Responsible for design and configuration of enterprise student applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced skills associated with programming design, modification and implementation. Advanced knowledge of secure software development. Demonstrated ability to create software specifications.
In-depth knowledge of various areas of IT. Broad knowledge of the IT environment. Ability to work inter and intra organization to maintain compliance with standards and regulations. Understanding of how overall organization technology vision and direction are executed with any implementation.
Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Ability to analyze current state and assist in providing recommendations for ideal state based on technology capabilities of systems.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution. Knowledge necessary to design, set up, operate and correct malfunctions involving technology systems. Experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination and analysis.
