The Office of Undergraduate Admission assembles a freshman class of 1,700 students and a transfer class of approximately 25-40 students each year. The Office of Undergraduate Admission (UGA) seeks a Senior Analystwho, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission for Communications and Operations, will specify requirements and/or design solutions requirements for business information systems and incorporate new technical systems to improve workflow, production, efficiency and effectiveness. May serve as project manager.
Your responsibilities include:
Partnering with business management to define the appropriate technical solutions.
Managing customer facing team of systems analysts; providing management, mentoring, and work direction to systems analysts, including project leads, systems analysts, and business partner analysts.
Performing scheduling, task assignment, and review of work throughout the project and maintenance life cycle.
Ensuring work timeliness, cost management, and quality. Assisting the project manager in developing project scope, schedule, and resources.
Providing status reports to business and information technology management.
Managing relationship and work efforts with outsourcing provider; e.g., serving as the primary manager of the Admission Office's Slate instance; leading the annual Application Cycle Prep process from the system side (auditing and updating rules); creating, updating, and running retention policies; setting up and supervising Slate to PeopleSoft data exports for creating applications and reconciling organization data; in addition, managing partnerships with Slate, CyberSource, and related.
Collaborating with peer managers to coordinate enterprise-wide integration requirements.
Managing the analysis of business requirements, design, developing and implementing new systems and enhancement of existing systems; e.g., building, updating, and managing PeopleSoft and Slate data reports; working with Institutional Research & Decision Support, other campus offices, the Dean of Admission, and professional admission and financial aid organizations to provide cyclical data and reports; building and verifying Slate queries for QA and communications - ability to use configurable joins a plus.
Coordinating work efforts for system enhancements and upgrades; e.g., working with Enterprise Technology to develop projects that will automate more facets of Slate/PeopleSoft data transfer and automate organization data uploads to PeopleSoft staging tables.
Coordinating production support, and providing application performance metrics to business partners and IT management; e.g., using Tableau to design effective data visualizations and automate the process of updating complex Excel reports; conducting and providing statistical analysis.
Coordinating various testing efforts; e.g., supervising the updating of source formats and mappings for Common, Coalition, QuestBridge, and Slate Applications; conducting PeopleSoft test upgrades and patches.
Maintaining a team-oriented working environment that promotes a high level of personal commitment and accountability and a continued focus on quality and efficiency.

Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Strong capabilities in the following: functional analysis, fit/gap analysis, requirements documentation and process flow charting, presentation of options and solutions facilitation, issues analysis and resolution, coordination of user acceptance and sign-off, and business process improvement (Business Intelligence and Tableau highly desired).
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies (Slate and PeopleSoft highly desired).
Solid understanding of project management body of knowledge discipline.
Strong listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with the entire suite of Microsoft Office products.
