We are seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Manager to join our team. The chosen candidate will lead a high performance, mission driven, development team responsible for support of Workday, PeopleSoft, and other HR/Payroll systems.
The Senior HRIS Manager provides expertise and ongoing operational support for HR Systems and is responsible for ensuring the HRIS team is meeting the needs of our customers regarding data integrity, reporting and analytics, data flows, transaction support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of HRIS analysts and developers including management of projects, resources and workflows. Guide and motivate the team, set goals, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage HRIS team intake process, assignments, tracking projects/tasks and look for streamlining opportunities
- Support, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues/requests
- Support implementations, releases and testing of all systems
- Organize and work with teams to research and resolve production HCM and payroll issues
- Document and maintain business processes
- Drive adoption, optimization and transformation to ensure we are fully leveraging Workday to meet strategic business needs
- Pursue continuous improvement in business processes, integration, automation, and user experience
- Partner with stakeholders to review and prioritize system enhancement requests
- Identify and clarify business requirements and configure to meet business objectives
- Engage with users to oversee the design of reporting and analytics to provide timely and accurate organization data
- Ownership of planning and release strategies for Workday semi-annual releases as well as new features, enhancements, and bug fixes by the team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 7+ years of experience leading teams, managing and prioritizing day-to-day work, and coaching and mentoring staff
- 5+ years of experience with Human Resources Information Systems, and a broad knowledge of HR systems. Experience with Workday HCM highly preferred.
- Project Management skills including the ability to break complex projects into manageable tasks, identify and engage appropriate resources, and deliver accurate, on-time results
- Detail-oriented with the ability to investigate, study, analyze and identify trends; a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity is essential
- Strong ability to manage workload that is subject to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills are essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced excel experience is preferred.
- Solid query, reporting and data analysis skills
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders, truly understand their needs, and influence to deliver best results
- Strong ability to work with stakeholders across the organization, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical professionals
