Job Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall development of the project. Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. Position may also supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects.

Additional Department Summary: The Building Project Specialist- CCHS is responsible for supporting the CCHS Property and Facilities Manager and assisting with overseeing the various CCHS building related projects. Assists with logistics, project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and supports the CCHS Property and Facilities Manager working with both internal CCHS departments, UA departments responsible for construction and facilities administration as well as contractors and others external to the University. Position may also supervise students, and assist in the development of future prospective projects.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction, engineering, construction/capital project management, facilities management or interior design. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student-oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.

Skills and Knowledge: Must have demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple small projects and multiple individuals/groups/tasks. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, using both technical and non-technical language. Must have an understanding of project plans, specifications, and other documents. Ability to understand and construct budgets and a mechanical aptitude. Proficient with personal computers to include Microsoft products, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.. and graphical software.
Must gain an understanding of the State Bid Laws, Project Manager Manual and UA Procurement procedures and policies.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, Business, or related field. Experience in facilities management, construction, engineering or technical field, or management.
