What we do: HedgeMark is a leading hedge fund managed account platform with assets exceeding $40bn. HedgeMark specializes in developing and operating private hedge fund dedicated managed account platforms for institutional investors. HedgeMark is in the process of spinning-out of BNY Mellon to combine with one of its key competitors, Innocap Investment Management, to create the industry's leading alternative investment platform. On February 17, 2022, Innocap entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BNY Mellon's HedgeMark business to create a single technology-enabled alternative investment platform and become the global industry leader. BNY Mellon will join tenured Innocap reinvesting shareholder Caisse de d??p??t et placement du Qu??bec (CDPQ), BNP Paribas and management of both Innocap and HedgeMark as shareholders at closing (which is expected to occur in Q3. The combined platform will have more than $50 billion in assets and a client roster which includes many leading institutional allocators.
This role will be an important part of the success of the new combined organization and presents an exciting opportunity to join a growing, industry-leading organization with an entrepreneurial culture.
HM supports the structuring of private vehicles for clients, negotiating fund documents and counterparty agreements, and project managing each fund's launch. Post-launch, HM provides risk and performance reporting, transparency and investment guideline monitoring to the client. HM is also responsible for performing operational and accounting functions which provide independent oversight and controls to the process.
The Platform Onboarding Specialist will work closely with staff in New York, Massachusetts and Poland to support client and fund onboarding functions; in particular, the process of counterparty agreements and account opening documentation. The Platform Onboarding Specialist will also work with the senior Product Team (including Head of Business Development and Head of Business) on client presentations and RFP responses.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Fund Structuring (Legal) and Onboarding teams on new Hedge Fund structures.
- Request documentation from counterparties and deliver counterparty documentation requirements.
- Documentation administration - open counterparty accounts. Complete documentation, liaise with Fund governance provider for execution and update all relevant parties.
- Track status of all counterparty documentation and project plan items, update internal systems with all statuses.
- Follow up with counterparties on document and account opening status.
- Ensure proper file maintenance.
- Keep meeting notes and update onboarding status.
- Interface with service providers including Administrators, Counterparties, Legal counsel etc.

- Assist with Client Presentations and RFPs
The role provides exposure to all teams within HedgeMark including senior level employees across management, structuring, accounting, operations and risk. The opportunity for learning is endless and the candidate will be exposed to many different types of fund structures, client motivations for launching managed accounts, investment strategies and instrument types.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
- 0-2 years of total work experience is strongly preferred in a project management and/or administrative role.
- Ability to prioritize workload, provide project status updates and complete account application information in a timely fashion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic attitude; enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Power Point
