Job Description:
The Business Process Improvement Project Manager is responsible for leading member engagement for the Iowa lean Consortium (ILC), assisting with daily operations of the ILC, and delivering services to help CIRAS clients improve business processes.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for continuous improvement and possesses demonstrated success in helping organizations improve business processes leading to increased productivity. Critical skills include relationship building, business acumen, excellent verbal, and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; exceptional critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity; and strong time management skills. All staff members are expected to maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
This is a remote position that can be based anywhere within the state of Iowa and will require extensive state-wide travel.
Position Responsibilities
Business Process Improvement Project Management
Engage with business owners, CEOs, and presidents to demonstrate the return on investment of improving their businesses. Assess complex, multi-disciplinary, strategic, managerial, operational, and technical problems.
Educate clients on the research and best practices in the area of specialty
Prepare, present and negotiate client proposals
Provide coaching and follow-up to ensure change is embedded within company practices
Manage fee-for-service projects and grants typically less than $200K per year
Work with CIRAS Account Managers (AMs), Project Managers (PMs), CIRAS Leadership, and other experts in integrating solutions to provide transformational solutions to businesses
Manage external resources as necessary
Iowa Lean Consortium Member Engagement
Collaborate with the ILC Program director to develop and implement strategies for retention of existing members, and recruitment of new members, including the creation of new member benefits and regular solicitation of member feedback
Build member relationships through regular communication via email, web & social channels, member forums, and member company site visits
Analyze and create actions plans based on engagement data
Facilitate meetings with ILC Programming Member Team to develop programming and speaker ideas based on member input
On-board new members to consortium both virtually and in-person
Iowa Lean Consortium Program Administration
Co-lead the delivery of the ILC Annual Conference
Responsible for managing the ILC member database, maintaining records on current and potential members
Curate virtual resources for online member library and communicate addition of resources to members
Respond to membership inquiries
Supervise hourly ILC student employee
