The Highlights The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of internal operations and day-to-day administrative support for the Risk Management departments and activities. Reporting to the AVP, Risk Management, this position works collaboratively with ERM, Compliance, Internal Audit and other university partners on risk management processes and procedures, centralized risk data management, special projects and reporting to help the university achieve its goals.
Is This You?- Provide coordination, analytics and reporting to support the Risk Management functions' governance and oversight, and presentation to senior management and Board of Trustees' committees.
- Includes development, enhancement, and maintenance of operating process(es) documentation (e.g., templates, etc.).
- Recommend process improvements to support accurate, relevant, and timely management reporting.
- Assist with processing financial and other department-related transactions in accordance with university policies and procedures; monitoring of expenditures and financial budgets for the Risk Management functions.
- Coordinate and assist with risk assessment processes and projects, as necessary.
- Support the AVP, Risk Management as the Audit Committee liaison.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Education- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience with data analysis tools.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
Preferred Requirements- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance and/or internal audit.
- Higher education experience.
Financial Responsibilities- Assist with monitoring and reconciliation of departmental budgets.
Other Skills & Abilities Required- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines, work independently, and work in a fluctuating environment.
- Experience utilizing GRC tools preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the University in a professional and courteous manner.
- Mathematical aptitude and the ability to manage and interpret data accurately.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
