We are looking for an enthusiastic, accomplished Communications Specialist to join us in the School of Nursing. If you are creative and have an interest in driving strategic messages to our audiences, we want you to work with us! Your primary responsibility is to promote a positive image of the school; foster recruitment and retention of students and faculty; and promote collaborations with practice partners, alumni, and friends of the school. You will market all of our nursing programs through specialized outreach, strategic communication and by encouraging professional contacts. Your responsibilities will include developing student recruitment and retention strategies for us, in addition to the monitoring our enrollment trends and yields. You will report to the Dean.
• Manage the implementation of our integrated marketing plan and brand efforts
• Be the consultant and project manager for our recruitment efforts
• Contribute to development of external relations and community partnerships; and to advancement of related projects
• Promote/support community engagement projects including continuing education events
• Develop and edit different content, manage maintenance, and increase effectiveness of School websites and social media efforts
• Conduct marketing research and data analytics and monitor for effectiveness of recruitment efforts.

• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field.
• 3 or more years of relevant professional experience in Marketing, Communications or related field that is directly relevant to the job responsibilities of this position
• Experience with different software programs
• Experience building strategic plans, branding, websites and online presence
• Understanding of social media platforms used in recruiting and marketing: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
• A Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field.
• Experience in working in a higher education setting
• Experience in planning and implementing events
• Software knowledge: Banner, WebFocus, WebNow/ImageNow, Concur, Qualtrics, Doodle
• Willingness to travel
A hybrid work schedule (some days on campus and some days working remotely) is available for this position at this time. However, this is subject to change based on the responsibilities of the position and the needs of the department.
