Are you an experienced project manager who is energized by collaborating with teams to develop engaging and innovative solutions that meet marketing/communication goals? Michigan Creative, the largest provider of creative services to the University of Michigan, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead teams on a wide variety of projects for the Office of the Vice President for Communications and other clients across U-M’s 19 schools and colleges, Michigan Medicine, and multiple institutes and centers. This position reports to the Managing Director.

- Be the primary contact and project lead for key accounts and strategic initiatives.
- Work with the Strategy team to prepare and implement strategic creative briefs and marketing plans.
- Develop a detailed project plan/schedule and track progress.
- Develop risk assessments and manage mitigation plans.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of project goals and success metrics.
- Ensure the project experience and results delivered measure up to the highest standards and expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Manage all jobs in our project database and diligently track actual fees and expenses against agreed-upon project budgets.
- Manage all project expenses, ensuring all project expenses are posted correctly.
- Lead project team meetings to ensure understanding of project details.
- Oversee team execution of project deliverables following the established project plan.
- Identify and raise budget, scope or timeline concerns and offer ideas for solutions.
- Share project updates with clients and the Managing Director, including schedule or scope changes.
- Collect and share/report data measuring project performance against established goals.
- Identify additional projects and new business opportunities from clients.
- 7+ years in professional project management or account management position
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience managing a wide variety of marketing projects, including paid social/digital marketing, websites and print
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- PMP or similar project management certification
- In-house or agency experience
- Marketing and advertising experience
- Capability in managing many details across many projects

Work Location/Schedule
Michigan Creative is currently hybrid, working in the office at least two days a week.
