Your day.
As a Remote Interoperability Developer, you need to know how to:
The Data Interoperability Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and troubleshooting interfaces, APIs and other data integration to information systems developed by or supported by SCL Health.
- Performs coding and development for new and existing interfaces and migrations within the assigned application. Complies with all change control requirements.
- Performs required updates to documentation around existing / new integration (inventories) and any updates/modifications to current processes within the development/user guides.
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
- Develops technical and business process documentation for interfaces and APIs, functional requirements and interfaces and APIs and enhances and maintains existing interfaces and APIs. Configures Epic Bridges interfaces or FHIR APIs.
- Act as technical SME on all interface projects and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Works on cross-team project with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Participates in internal process improvement projects.
- Participates in informal internal training as part of ongoing team improvement.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements list must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required. - Working knowledge of HL7 standard or FHIR APIs. Page 2 of 4
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Software testing skills.
- Exposure to Ensemble or another interface engine is a plus.
- Familiarity or exposure to Epic System a plus, including working knowledge of Cache API.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript knowledge desired.
- Familiar with Subversion or other version control is desired.
- Experience in healthcare industry or health information technology is desired.
- Able to learn in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Being comfortable with self-directed learning.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and documenting skills.
- Exposure to web service protocols (HTTPS, REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure meeting deadlines, delivering superior results and keeping the focus on the customer and meeting their needs.
- Bachelorâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Healthcare, Informatics, Information Technology or other related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Required:
- Five (5) years of experience with integration engine code development and source code migration procedures, clinical data integration using Epic Bridges or another EMR, FileMover or other data file transfer development procedures, Subversion or other source control code development and migration procedures.
Preferred:
- Seven (7) years of experience with integration engine code development and source code migration procedures, clinical data integration using Epic Bridges or another EMR, FileMover or other data file transfer development procedures, Subversion or other source control code development and migration procedures.
- Epic specific: Bridges and Chronicles.
- Masterâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Healthcare, Informatics, Information Technology or other related field.
