HUIT is responsible for refreshing approximately 6000-7000 computers every 3 or 4 years for Central Administration and FAS. This position will be responsible for supporting the processes involved in deploying these endpoints including client/desktop systems administration, computer equipment transport, tracking university assets, and security administration. The unifying characteristics of the position are outstanding organizational skills, written/oral communication skills, and the ability to help teams and projects successfully accomplish their objectives. Delivery Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct the delivery and pickup of IT equipment to various storage and distribution points across the Harvard campus.
Responsible for using a departmental scanner to track inventory throughout the delivery process.
Document and communicate deliveries via photographs and messaging.
Adhere to daily schedule and proactively communicate any expected delays to team.
Maintain supplies and documentation at HUIT depots
Responsible for driving and upkeeping the departmental delivery vehicles in accordance with university and local policies.
Warehouse Operations Duties & Responsibilities
Image, prepare, and configure computers for deployment following documented procedures and policies.
Ensure assets are properly tracked throughout their lifecycles. This includes maintaining records of current inventory, replenishing revolving inventory with incoming equipment, processing incoming inventory, monitoring inventory thresholds, notifying management of inventory issues in a timely manner.
Maintain and update asset data records in HUIT's ticketing tool and databases. This includes computers received, deployed, and retired.
Work with team to prepare warehouse space for deliveries, lease returns, and disposals.
Ensure correct materials are pulled, organized, staged, and packed correctly for shipment to campus locations.
Assist in shipping of computing equipment to off-campus recipients.
Prepare pallets for delivery to vendors or on campus customers.
Test and/or troubleshoot desktop technology and software as needed to support departmental objectives.
Work with vendors as appropriate to support departmental goals.
Additional tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.
1-3 years working in a computer-related environment or relevant experience.
Experience with Windows operating systems (MacOS a plus) and hardware in a computer support related setting; experience working in a networked environment.
Demonstrated ability to utilize new software applications and technologies.
Must possess clear/precise written/oral communications skills.
Must have the ability to interact with technical staff and work in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.
Ability to demonstrate an extraordinary level of organization and should have experience in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license
