Responsibilities The PCC Training Trainer is a member of the IT Education team and will be responsible for specific functions and activities related to the Clinical and Financial business operation process development, including analysis, testing, implementation, and support of information systems, for the organization; converting staff to new software applications, business processes and workflows, and customer service skills and gathering system data and reporting needs. This individual performs as an advisor, high level decision maker, along with being responsible for, implementation and testing of application functionality; developing training materials, course curriculum and additional training documentation to improve processes and to reduce or eliminate errors. The delivery of classroom training and providing end-user support is an important skill for this role.
This position supports our Patient Contact Center (call center) in Rancho Cordova.
Required Qualifications - Thorough knowledge of software and technologies training, including complex concepts, principles, policies, methodologies, and industry standards and practices involved with training curriculum design.
- Experienced in project management principles including task management, development of timelines, and the ability to manage concurrent deliverables.
- Experience with technical analysis, documentation and writing, and the ability to follow team conventions.
- Experience effectively managing time, working on projects through to completion, handle competing priorities, and effectively addressing complex issues.
- Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Experience working with senior staff and managers in clinical information technology, health care management, and business analytics, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications - Current certification Cadence, Prelude, MyChart, and Referrals
- Over one-year experience in healthcare clinical practice environment including experience with healthcare information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Past experience gathering end user requirements
- Training in a health care call center
Special RequirementsMust be able to work overtime including evenings and weekend and/or flexible hours as needed to meet committed project dates.
Travel in the Northern California region may be required. Reliable transportation necessary for off-site visits. Mileage and travel expenses will be reimbursed per UC Policy.
Required to pass role-appropriate, manager-approved Epic certification exams within six months of attending Epic training.
Must maintain role appropriate manager-approved certifications as per Epic's continuing education requirements defined in the most current Epic Training Guide.
Must be able to travel to Wisconsin to attend Epic certification training sessions.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
