PROJECT POLICY ANL 3 (Financial Analyst)Job Summary
Under general supervision of the manager of the Oce of Research and Graduate Education, provides high-level scal, statistical and analytical support and helps guides strategic direction of key ORGE programs. Independently serves as oce liaison with the Campus Accounting Oce, Office of Research and Contracts and Grants Accounting. Provide support to the ORGE Manager, Associate Dean and Assistant Dean for the effective management of the School's Strict Full-Time (SFT) Salary Cost Recovery Plan and the SFT Incentive Plan. Facilitates internal granting programs working with investigators' departments to allocate funding and ensure funding is spent in accordance with Sponsor's regulations. Other duties include writing reports, outreach materials, marketing materials, and updating/designing web sites.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork within an area with constant traffic and noise from office equipment, telephone conversations, computer printers, etc.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
Experience with contracts and grants management; experience in managing multiple fund sources with complex restrictions.
Financial and business management skills to analyze data, present statistical information, assess problems/ needs and to relate nancial status to operational needs.
Analytical skills to coordinate and complete assigned projects requiring interactions with many individuals in a matrix organizational structure.
Project management skills to develop and manage timelines, evaluate and direct projects, handle multiple competing priorities, monitor ongoing strategic initiatives and track progress and manage tight time lines with attention to details.
Oral, written and interpersonal skills to interact with others in a professional manner and communicate information clearly and concisely to another person or to a group.
Skills to maintain research database and retrieve information to meet reporting requirements.
Preferred:
Knowledge of accounting procedures with diverse fund restrictions and fund accounting (UC highly preferred).
Knowledge of budgetary cycle and practices (UC highly preferred).
Understanding of graduate student funding.
Knowledge of UC Davis and campus resources for financial question, specifically those relating to research and graduate education.
