The Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) is an enterprise-wide project led by UW System and UW-Madison that will implement a modern Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and a Huron Research Suite 9.2 solution (Research Administration Management Project or RAMP) to manage financial, human resource and research administration activities. ATP is based on a people first approach to ensure decision makers, employees and stakeholders benefit from improved processes, efficiencies, consistency, and transparency.
ATP established a timeline to deploy the Workday ERP solution and RAMP at every campus on July 1, 2024. Deployment on this date will provide less disruption and a higher likelihood of success compared to deploying at the beginning of a state biennium (e.g., July 1, 2025) when new appropriations and laws are simultaneously enacted. Further, ATP determined that a 30-month project period (beginning January 1, 2022) is in line with other successful implementations.
The Central Services Lead reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for providing day-to-day support activities performed by Strategy Leads, business analysts, policy analysts, User Experience consultants, and other professionals providing technical expertise to ATP and its projects (collectively, Central Services). This position will work across multiple areas to align how we deliver the many support functions within ATP, and the Central Services Lead develops, establishes, and maintains standards and procedures for this work. Through the duration of the program's projects, the Central Services Lead obtains feedback to ensure work team expectations are being met.
The Central Services Lead will coordinate with ATP Strategy Leads on the appropriate level of professional and technical support needed within work teams and ensure proper resource levels are achieved. Additionally, in partnership with the ATP Strategy Leads, the Central Services Lead will take the lead role in articulating and moving to acceptance the transformation methodologies across internal stakeholders. The Central Services Lead serves as a liaison to and relationship manager with university business units that are home to Program Enablement professionals (e.g. UW-Madison DoIT, UW System Administration Project Management Office) or as the supervisor for Central Services professionals that are hired directly into the ATP Office.
Serves as a senior advisor to divisional or executive leadership and represents leadership as needed. Coordinates administrative, operational, and financial administration of relevant units on behalf of divisional or executive leadership. Provides project management and management of strategic initiatives, serves as the coordinator for internal communications, and oversees the development of communications strategies and applications.

10% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees

Superior public speaking skills and comfort presenting to large groups 3. Strong presence with senior leaders and ability to act as a partner and trusted advisor
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
