The incumbent engages in strategic planning and market analysis to identify growth opportunities, identifies the appropriate resources to ensure quality services, develops standards and best practices, and ensures all regulatory requirements are met. The Director of Laboratory Outreach Services serves as a liaison between the Pathology Chair's Office and the Medical Center. The Director manages functional operations including courier activities, mobile phlebotomy, patient service centers, community-based laboratories, and client services with attention on controlling costs and demonstrating a positive margin with the outreach business.
