General Statement of Job
The Senior Manager of Operations is an essential and dynamic senior leadership position that directly leads the strategic planning, staffing, administration, and daily management of multiple medium-size deployments of SIS site security teams. This position applies experienced leadership and security knowledge to lead and execute successful physical security, safety, and special event requirements for undisclosed high-profile clients throughout multiple locations within the United States. The Senior Manager is expected to mentor and develop all levels of security personnel, ensuring client security expectations and SIS ethics are met and exceeded daily. The Senior Manager is also expected to have the ability to positively and professionally interact with high profile SIS client executives when called upon. The Senior Manager role will directly report to a Director of Operations, the Senior Director of Operations, and ultimately reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide direct and professional interpersonal communication and oversight to all uniformed and non-uniformed security personnel, ensuring operational requirements and professional standards meet SIS and the client’s Global Security expectations and values
•Intervene, solve and address SIS security personnel concerns and issues in an immediate professional, positive and timely manner
• Ensure a high level of customer service satisfaction, integrity, and compliance by SIS security team members is delivered at all times
• Establish and maintain close coordination, planning, communication, and direct liaison with the client’s Global Security and Safety management team members pertaining to all aspects of physical security, safety, risk management, special events, and projects
• Develop, implement, and audit programs that assist the client to ensure technical competency is attained and maintained with the client’s physical security and safety operations
• Direct, change, staff, and manage assigned SIS personnel, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with the client’s Global Safety and Security management for the creation and implementation of security, safety, special events, and in some instances risk management and investigative programs
• Oversee contractual obligations and manage billing within the client‘s budget or purchase order authority
• Maintain relationships with Federal, State, and Local law enforcement and other government agencies in support of private-public partnership initiatives
• Maintain relationships with key industry partners, professional organizations, and client-related industry associations or groups to affect networking of value for SIS and any high profile SIS clients
Additional Job Functions
•Must have the fortitude and ability to mentor, correct, motivate, and inspire all SIS security team members toward daily success
•Be able to instruct and provide security training classes to SIS security personnel or client employees
•Perform additional duties in support of other key stakeholder groups of SIS, including Training, Executive Protection, Retail Loss prevention, or Secure Logistics, groups
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 10 years experience in Security, Safety, Law Enforcement, Military or Private Industry field with demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Experience in leading the successful planning, execution, and management of large-scale security programs with an astute and strategic understanding of physical security, safety, risk management, special events, executive protection, investigations, crisis management, and business continuity best practices and programmatic approaches
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, project management, organizational, business continuity, corporate communications, and executive decision-making skills
• Seasoned in high-level presentation, interaction, and collaboration with senior executive management
• Must be intermediate level with common PC and MAC-based software platforms
• Extensive domestic travel to client-owned locations would be required. Must have a valid passport for potential international travel on a limited basis
Preferred Qualifications
• ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications preferred
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing Safety & Security programs for large corporate clients
