Job Description Business Overview As part of the bold vision to deliver the âœNext Generationâ of managed care in Ohio Medicaid, Ohio RISE will help struggling children and their families by focusing on the individual with strong coordination and partnership among MCOs, vendors, and ODM to support specialization in addressing critical needs. The OhioRISE Program is designed to provide comprehensive and highly coordinated behavioral health services for children with serious/complex behavioral health needs involved in, or at risk for involvement in, multiple child-serving systems.
Position Summary: This is a full time teleworker position in Ohio. The Manager of Informatics manages and builds a strong team of health care analysts through leadership and mentoring, holding primary responsibility for delivery of analysis projects to successfully provide tactical and strategic solutions to constituent needs. Must reside in Ohio. Some instate travel may be required.
Fundamental Components: â¢ Collaborates with business partners to provide sound statistical and research design advice on projects and programs. â¢ Deep knowledge of health care data, metrics, systems and advanced research methods. â¢ Responsible for ensuring appropriate review and sign-off of project results to ensure appropriate use of study results. Leads interdepartmental teams to shape policy and process. Performs or manages applied statistical research and custom analysis of integrated healthcare data, interprets results, and makes recommendations based on analytic findings to business areas. Makes recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition and evaluation methods. Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on information services, capabilities and performance results. Turns analysis into business/customer solutions. Understands the relationships between program design, outcome measures, and appropriate measurement strategies. â¢ Stays informed about industry trends, research findings, and evaluation methods. â¢ Recommends and develops tactical and strategic solutions that satisfy information needs across products, segments and clients. â¢ Presents analytic reports to clients and stakeholders, presents and explains results effectively to non-technical audiences. â¢ Participates in the development of project plans and timelines. â¢ Manages team projects, people, customer expectations and business priorities to achieve constituent satisfaction. Integrates understanding of internal and external data sources for quantifying risks. Responsible for team commitments to quality and on-time deliverables. â¢ Is willing to understand and probe into technical details and mentors his/her direct reports to do the same. Manages and builds a strong team through formal training, diverse assignments, and coaching, mentoring and other development techniques. â¢ Contributes to a motivated work environment by working effectively to achieve common goals. â¢ Receives general direction from OhioRISE health plan Chief Operating Officer, Senior Informatics Manager or Informatics Head and is competent to work at the highest level in all aspects of data analyses and presentation. â¢ Assists in all phases of team leadership and performs management functions. â¢ Responds to Ohio Department of Medicaid report requests which can be scheduled or ad hoc.
Required Qualifications â¢ 8 or more years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry analytic experience. â¢ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. â¢ Strong reporting skills using Excel, Access, Word and/or PowerPoint. â¢ Well-versed in statistical model building and concepts, decision trees and classification rules, segmentation and cluster analysis. â¢ Understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses. â¢ Deep knowledge of health care industry, policy, research design, univariate and multivariate statistical analyses, predictive modeling, case-mix and risk adjustment methods and tools. â¢ Recognized as an expert in multiple areas of health research, analysis and reporting. â¢ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across the business at various levels in verbal and written form. â¢ Demonstrated project management and/or team lead experience. â¢ Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form. â¢ Strong SQL and SAS programming skills (e.g., SAS Base, SAS STAT, SAS Macros) â¢ Demonstrated leadership ability. â¢ Ability to travel with personal vehicle as required for business. â¢ Must possess reliable transportation, valid and active driver's license, and proof of vehicle insurance.

Preferred Qualifications â¢ Doctoral or Master's degree in relevant field with healthcare analytic experience.
Education Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Social Science, Healthcare or related discipline.
