Supervises team of systems analysts who analyze and evaluate present or proposed procedures and data to design computer-based solutions to business problems
Accountable for recruiting, coaching and counseling employees for success, evaluating performance, developing salary planning proposals, assisting employees with career development planning and training
Responsible for employment activities and decisions including hiring, defining roles and responsibilities, discipline, training, and managing work schedules

Documents and delivers system training to new business systems analysts, operational staff, and customers while investigating/resolving abnormalities in data or system functions
Functions as a lead to identify, plan, and execute major projects focusing on implementation of new technologies, novel use of existing systems, and optimization of interfaces between clinical and supply chain systems
Develops and documents system and business requirements using standard templates and forms, including project management tasks (process flows, test scripts, testing scenarios, and training)
Performs project management tasks including required resources and time estimates, and milestone and task planning
Applies different and unrelated processes and problem-solving methods to complete portfolio of assignment while demonstrating excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Develops and delivers presentations and speak publicly as an advocate for supply chain while promoting cooperation and effectively overseeing relationships
Often independently designs, models, and makes recommendations for systems and solutions
Understands the full impact of decisions on UMH business operations and strategic directions
Independently carries out major assignments in support of UMH business operation

Combination of a bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
1-3 years supervising system or data analysts or other technical resources
5 to 7 years of experience with ERP and/or EHR data systems including system configuration and system testing activities
Expertise with Excel, Word, Visio, Access, MS Project and other support tools to perform job functions
Significant experience developing flow charts, business process maps, standard work instructions, and system testing requirements and scenarios
Demonstrated proficient knowledge of principles, practices, standards, technologies, and procedures related to competent business systems analysis including adapting to new documentation standards
Demonstrated ability to formulate, interpret, or recommend operating practices, methods of process, and systems design
Demonstrate leadership and communication abilities
Demonstrate ability to advocate and lead cross functional teams and user through major technology changes ensuring user adoption
Demonstrated curiosity and innovation in solving customer problems
Demonstrated knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle
Demonstrated curiosity and innovation in solving customer problems using technology
5 years of experience in health care supply chain environment
Experience working with financial, operational, and clinical data
Experience with PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management modules especially Inventory Management
Experience working in and exploiting use of GHX
Experience working in and exploiting use of Syft Synergy or other mobile inventory application
Reasonable knowledge of University of Michigan’s and Michigan Medicine’s business functions
Demonstrated interpersonal and project management skills
Proven application of LEAN problem-solving tools
