The Financial Accounting Unit provides systemwide financial management, reporting, policy, procedures and administrative services in support of UC's mission. Additionally, Financial Accounting is involved in various initiatives to enhance the reporting and transparency of financial information. These efforts involve coordination and collaboration with local, campus, medical center, laboratory personnel at all levels.
Having wide-ranging experience, applies business process and analysis concepts and organizational objectives to resolve issues, up to and including the most complex, with campus / medical center / OP-wide, institution-wide and / or multi-institutional impact. Works on issues, up to and including the most complex, with little or no organizational precedent, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Recognized as a subject matter expert.
Support the design, creation and maintenance of financial interfaces between internal and external sources. Analyze solution design and create technical specifications based on business/functional requirements.
Provide support to users and assist with troubleshooting issues and provide training. Coordinate with business users, ITS, and managed services partner to manage and maintain finance related systems. System Support for day to support activities include gathering requirements, technical design, development, configuration, testing, Oracle support requests, review patches, etc.
Partner with Managed Services partner to support month end and year end activities in Oracle cloud. Provide status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders. Be a trusted business partner, provide Oracle functional expertise in Financials, Project Portfolio Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL), perform project coordination and provide improvements in mission-critical enterprise-wide financial systems.
Independently consults with users regarding business needs and how business systems can support those needs. Provides technical consulting on complex projects. Oversees support and training on new applications. Leads a team of business analysis professionals with the planning and execution of unit integration and acceptance testing.
Applies business process and analysis concepts, up to and including the most complex and advanced, while formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and system requirements. Independently analyzes large-scale business practices, processes and problems, up to and including the most complex. Regularly leads analyzes, determining methods and procedures on new assignments and provides leadership to other members of the organization. Independently performs analysis, up to and including the most complex, of system integration issues and creates interface specifications / requirements. End-to-end ownership of design, development, implementation, and support of Oracle cloud application. Must have a tenacity for continuous improvement.
Directs, analyzes, approves, facilitates, documents and implements business processes and procedural documentation changes. Directs, analyzes and prepares recommended changes in processes and procedures having critical, campus / medical center / OP-wide, institution-wide and / or multi-institutional impact. Leads project management activities. Researches, defines and documents current As is business processes and recommend improvements.
Initiates, designs or modifies processes and procedures to solve technical problems, up to and including the most complex. Directs, analyzes and prepares specifications for systems having critical, campus / medical center / OP-wide, institution-wide and / or multi-institutional impact. Acts independently or may lead cross-functional project teams responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of various systems.
Expert knowledge of large scale, complex business and process analysis functions.
Knowledge relating to the design and development of diverse and complex processes and software across the organization.
Thorough knowledge of other areas of IT including business process methodologies and analysis techniques.
Expert skills and methodologies associated with analysis of processes and issues, information flow and architecture.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive-level management on a regular basis.
Advanced knowledge and experience with process, information and enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman, TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework, DODAF, ITIL, et cetera).
Understanding of enterprise business needs and how highly complex business systems can support those needs.
Demonstrated skills needed to develop process and system implementation plans.
Demonstrated experience with process analysis, systems analysis, process architectures and systems analysis methodologies and practices including traditional waterfall, Agile, Agile Scrum, UML, UML Enterprise, et cetera.
Understanding and skill in highly complex processes and systems requirements documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
Expert knowledge of business processes and procedures.
Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Minimum of seven years experience.
Oracle Cloud certification
Must pass a background check.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: $136,000 - $159,500.
