This position provides multi-level, cross-functional and integrated support to facilitate the successful development, design and delivery of NRECA Education, Training & Events (ET&E) in-person and online education programs -- conferences, meetings, workshops, seminars, courses, certificate programs and web conferences -- for electric cooperative managers, directors and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1) Provides project management support to conference and education program managers in development and delivery of their programs - in-person and online:
Event management system set-up membership system registration set-up coordination
Speaker support and coordination
Event/education program communications (mobile apps, onsite programs, web pages, event signage, participant materials)
Continuing education credit administration
Online and hybrid events - systems set-up, administration and technical support
2) Serves as producer and project manager in the design, development and delivery of web-based learning events that educate and inform members on critical issues
Works with online learning program sponsors and core team to design and plan the event.
Determines and manages the appropriate web event technology platform (based on the program goals, objectives, budget, and outcomes)
Schedules, sets-up and activates webinar registration
3) Collaborates with the Learning Management System (LMS) super-administrators, course developers, program managers, instructors, speakers, and other stakeholders to implement and maintain education programs hosted in the LMS:
Serves as a team member on the LMS Core Team by reviewing potential system enhancements and performing user acceptance testing (UAT) on implemented system enhancements.
Collaborates with program managers to determine the most appropriate features and functions within the LMS to support their program or individual courses within their program.
Builds, tests the initial prototype of course or program, and once approved builds final programs on the LMS following the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Coordinates program set up in the event management system, registration activation and links to LMS
Provides technical support to program managers and instructors on the LMS; customer service support to LMS program participants
4) Provides front-line member service and administrative support by handling member inquiries (via phone, online and onsite) about ET&E programs, creates surveys or polls for ET&E program managers using online survey tools, and assisting with the development of program evaluation instruments.
Formal Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications and/or Marketing
Five plus years of business experience, preferably with project management and online and in-person event support. Strong knowledge and experience with database and graphic software along with knowledge of project management, membership databases (particularly NetForum), Learning Management System (LMS), CrowdWisdom LMS or Event Management System (EMS) software a plus. Experience with CommPartners and Freestone web conferencing platforms and WebEx, Zoom and/or GoToTraining online learning delivery platforms a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (as demonstrated by prior work experience):
Knowledge of all aspects of conference and meeting program management including budgets, session design, speaker acquisition, registration, marketing and communication, mobile apps, A-V and meeting logistics.
Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) features and functionality.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development in a fast-paced and sometimes intense working environment using effective organization skills and maintaining attention to detail and quality work.
Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of people to foster cooperation in sharing information and materials.
Ability to exercise judgment, creativity and discretion in the execution of all duties and responsibilities.
Ability to take initiative based on knowledge of work processes, timelines and understanding of the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors.
Ability to travel.
Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams) in the day-to-day essential duties of the job.

Ability to provide excellent customer service by building relationships, being resourceful, responsive and respectful.
Essential Physical Requirements :
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
