The Director of the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Global Education uses collaborative leadership to celebrate diversity, advance equity, and promote inclusion in the Le Moyne College community. The director promotes and strengths programming for multicultural, international, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC students, underrepresented affinity groups, and the general student population in order to advance Le Moyne College's primary commitment to a culture of inclusion and cura personalis. The director fosters global collaboration through managing study abroad and exchange visitor programs and provides logistical support and advising for international students and scholars.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
Develop and implement a cultural awareness vision for the Le Moyne community to include programs and events relevant to the experience of diverse students that foster a climate of respect for diversity and appreciate the history and traditions of all students.
In collaboration with other student development and academic affairs colleagues and other constituencies on campus, identify opportunities for the development of greater identity for currently underrepresented groups.
Serve on the Vice President for Mission Integration & DEI Advisory Council.
Provide advisement to student groups affiliated with Le Moyne's cultural organizations, provide leadership development opportunities for students involved with these organizations, and encourage the creation of additional student-centered programs where gaps exist.
With guidance from leadership across the college, plan and execute educational, social, and cultural activities that inform the broader student population of the centrality of diversity to the Catholic and Jesuit educational experience of Le Moyne.
Coordinate the College's annual MLK Convocation in collaboration with Academic Affairs and VP for MI&DEI.
In conjunction with others in Student Development and Academic Affairs, promote the academic and leadership achievements of students served by multicultural programs, including those students in HEOP, AHANA, and CSTEP programs.
Develop an orientation program for all new students on diversity and inclusion as part of the fall arrival program.
Establish collaborative relationships with key campus constituencies in MI/DEI, Student Development, and Academic Affairs to encourage cross-cultural dialogue and promote greater cultural awareness.
Work collaboratively with VP for MI&DEI, Human Resources, and the Assistant to the Provost for Diversity and Inclusion to provide ally training and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to increase the number of mentors and advocates for multicultural students.
Provides training opportunities for student groups on campus including but not limited to Resident Advisors, Orientation Committee, Student Government, and others.
Work as a member of the Bias Response Team to provide educational efforts and mediation for bias related incidents between students.
Manage a programming budget and oversee cultural organization activities fee budgets.
Conduct needs assessments on current programming for continuous improvement.
International Student Advisement:
Serve as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO), implementing and upholding US Immigration law and regulations.
Monitor maintenance of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), manage the College's recertification process, and coordinate the required SEVIS registration each semester.
Monitor visa documents and student status/exchange visitor status for regulatory compliance and maintain all student records.
Monitor initial entry of all international students and coordinate logistics of their arrival including flights, housing, information technology, class schedules, health forms, and billing.
Conduct new student orientation and ongoing social programming to help students feel comfortable, understand immigration guidelines, and learn about resources for international students.
Provide support to college faculty and administrators concerning strategic initiatives involving international students, scholarship, and research opportunities.
Study Abroad Coordination:
Promote short-term and semester-long study abroad programs and develop and maintain marketing materials.
Assist faculty and the registrar's office with course approvals and work with the offices of financial aid and bursar with student billing and budget maintenance.
Work with study abroad exchange partners to coordinate admission and arrival of incoming study abroad students.
Serve as the primary liaison for communication with students abroad.
Collaborate with partner institutions to strengthen our relationships and broaden our opportunities.
Work with the offices of the provost and deans, faculty, and various administrators to review/approve new exchange agreements and maintain MOUs.
Monitor the budget, propose cost-saving measures, and develop strategic initiatives to enhance support for the international community on campus.
Assist faculty in developing and implementing short term study abroad programs.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in diversity, equity and inclusion program development in higher education or related sector
Masters degree required with the preferred fields of higher education or counseling
Minimum of 3 years' in supervisory experience
Demonstrated experience in student development and program leadership
Significant experience in facilitating diversity, equity and inclusion learning activities for a broad range of constituents
Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different divisions
