What you Will Do:
Stryker's Spine is seeking to hire a Senior Engineer, Advanced Operations with strong electro- mechanical engineering experience to support new product introduction of surgical imaging products in Shirley, MA.
As the Sr Engineer, Advanced Operations you will have the opportunity to work on new product process development focusing on cutting edge Imaging and Robotic Products. We are looking for a Sr Electromechanical Engineer with experience in Design for Manufacturing, Design for assembly, Validations, Risk Analysis & vendor management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will have the opportunity to work on new product process development focusing on cutting edge imaging and robotic products.
You will use your Electro-Mechanical experience in electro-mechanical assembly, risk analysis, design for manufacturing & validation experience to launch new products into manufacturing.
Technical understanding of mechanical engineering drawing principles, including dimensioning methods, Theory and application of GD&T, types of datum systems, manufacturing and/or inspection jigs and fixtures, limits and fits , Surface roughness specification.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and externally as required.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design.
You will develop approaches to technical problems including reducing product time to market & executing project deadlines and product costs.
You will provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures.
You will select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements. Work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols.
You will capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation and validation.
You will analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis. Coordinate and/or participate in process review meetings.
You will complete process failure mode effects analysis, control plans, standard operating procedures and production part approval process generation associated with product transfers and launches.
You will perform capability studies for in process inspection and generate subsequent Inspection documentation.
You will conduct measurement system analysis studies for new products and new processes.
You will write and execute validation documentation.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Bachelor's in engineering - required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ industrial/ electrical engineering - preferred
4+ years of related work experience - required
Design for manufacturing experience - required
Validation experience - required
Ability to read & interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing - required
