The new employee anages the development and implementation process of software projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects. Plans and directs schedules and may monitor budget/spending. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. This position has overall project management responsibility.
Provide project management of internal and external software product development projects with minimal direction.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, cost forecasting, monitoring and control and reporting on all aspects of assigned projects.
Coordinates customer's requirements.
Develops project implementation schedules and work breakdown structures.
Manages project costs. Identifies, manages and mitigates project risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning as required.
Manages project documentation.
Facilitates the development team.
Responsible for the acquisition of product resources, capital equipment and direct expense items and services.
Supports the development of team members.
Uses project management techniques, project management tools and established standards to ensure project deliverables are met.
Qualifications and Skills
BS in Engineering or Science, or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in software project management or in a leadership role
Good understanding of industry specific applications, engineering principles and how to apply them.
Expertise in at least one of the following industries is a must: Life Sciences, Dairy, Food and Beverage, Consumer Goods
Proven ability to lead multiple teams, partner with management to resolve conflicts and lead indirect resources.
Effectively communicates and facilitates presentations (internally and externally).
Demonstrated experience in leading Information Solutions projects.
Proven ability to direct resources, plan project activities and balance financial budgets.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum is a plus.
PMP professional certification or other Project management certification is a big advantage
Typically, minimum of 3 years of experience in systems, MES software or application engineering capacity.
English and Italian speaking and writing skills
Ability to travel 25% to 50% on average
