Tuscawilla Oaks Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-time Associate Veterinarian who wants to enjoy their day at work while making a significant impact in the lives of our patients and clients!! We strive to maintain the latest technology of our lab equipment, surgical equipment, monitoring, and other diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography, ultrasound, cold laser, and stem cell therapy. We also have an interactive doggie daycare/camp to provide an extra splash of fun and games, all while promoting a healthy mind, body, and soul for our patients, clients, and team members!
TOAH is a prominent and established practice in Oviedo, Florida. Being in Central Florida, we have access to both the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Some less than an hour drive! Being an Orlando suburb (yup, Disney, Universal, etc.), we have a family-like environment with devoted and friendly individuals who enjoy learning, laughing, and practicing high-quality and innovative medicine. Payment of all professional dues/licenses/association memberships/VIN/PLIT
Perform physical examinations as well as diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including but not limited to, dental radiology, ultrasound, and stem cell and laser therapies.
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal staff members.
Update patient medical records and all documentation required of established protocols.
Computer data entry skills are necessary. Experience with Avimark software is preferred.
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients regarding patient diagnosis, treatment strategies, preventative health care, and nutrition.
Stay current on the latest changes and advances in veterinary medicine. Strict adherence to continued education requirements is required.
Assist with the professional growth and development of the staff.
Support the company’s goals to provide SUPERIOR patient care, COMPASSIONATE, and EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
License in good standing to practice in Florida.
Veterinarian experience in a small animal hospital is HIGHLY desired but we will consider training a candidate that meets or exceeds all other qualifications.
Unwavering commitment to practice the highest standard of medicine and uphold the veterinary code of ethics.
Ability to work collaboratively with the doctors and hospital staff.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time- and resource-management skills coupled with exceptional organizational abilities are critical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
