The Sr. eCommerce Product Manager has product management responsibility for defining the why and what to best serve our customers on SupplyManager, our B2B ecommerce site, and its public facing McKesson Medical Surgical website. Product Management of this key platform is shared among two or more product managers and collaboration will be key, as each product manager has a focus area of the site as well as key business partners and integrated products you manage.
Our teams use SAFe Agile, and the Sr. Product Manager will work closely with our Technology Product Owner and development team. The role will also require interaction with internal McKesson stakeholders, other marketing product management personnel, customers, and vendors.
This Sr. Product Manager role is responsible for maintaining the product roadmap for re-platforming work already underway as well as enhancements and improvements. They must drive the greatest differentiated value for customers and McKesson, and measure and analyze that delivered value. That includes gathering customer inputs and needs relative to new development opportunities, researching options or approaches to solving problems or delivering value, playing a liaison role with support and sales on our various product offerings, and demonstrating and communicating the value of our offerings and changes to those offerings.
Drive customer experience in McKesson Medical-Surgical's ecommerce platform
Product management will include one or more of these areas or duties: findability, ordering, checkout, product content, site merchandising technology, content management, lead generation, payments, roadmaps, business cases, user research and testing, integrations, release planning and interaction with business and technology groups
Interacting with development personnel to help shape and drive delivery of functional capabilities to meet market needs
Interacting with stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities and requirements for engaging customers in specific focus areas to serve stakeholder and customer needs
Coordinate with product managers responsible for other areas within the site and our other external and internal facing systems to ensure optimal and consistent customer experience and technology
Work with sales management and field sales to optimize the value the site can bring to sales and account management
Working with support personnel to identify trends and feed prioritization detail back into our product development funnels
Understand broad technical capabilities in the market relative to ecommerce, digital communications, Community, and identity administration, assessing potential and leveraging appropriately
Keep abreast of competitive content strategies, primarily within healthcare distribution but also analogous industries
Helping craft communications for sales and customers relating to our product offerings and development efforts and the differentiated value being delivered by our solutions
Develop marketing and training plans and activities to establish, enhance, reinforce and distinguish product within the market and internal and external stakeholders
Measure utilization, effectiveness, and value to customers and McKesson
5-7+ years of relevant experience
5+ years diverse experience to include product or program analysis and/or requirements design in a web-based systems development environment
5+ years' experience working directly with IT (software development, data engineering), including direct experience translating end user/business requirements to product development team
5+ years' experience collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Strategy, Consulting or other related function
3+ years' experience with direct customer interactions, including, but not limited to, sales support, strategy and operational enhancements
3+ years' experience with PIM and/or ERP systems integrations with ecommerce platforms
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
Experience with SQL, Excel, JIRA
Experience in health systems from a business, operational or clinical perspective
Strong working knowledge of SAFe Agile, PI Planning management and related activities
Strong networking and influencing skills, especially in terms of navigating the McKesson Medical-Surgical organization to coordinate across a large and varied set of stakeholders
Ability to quickly develop understanding of new products/services and drive adoption using data and analytics to support decision making
Strong attention to detail - systematic and strategic thinker who can anticipate long term implications and challenges
