The Yale School of Medicine's Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is inviting applicants for a full-time position in the Cardiovascular Imaging section in the Clinician-Educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. A strong interest in clinical research and a commitment to scholarly output in the field of cardiovascular imaging is essential.
This is an opportunity to practice high quality, patient-centered cardiovascular imaging with dedicated colleagues in a stimulating and supportive environment. Our radiologists work closely with surgery and cardiology to provide cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care for cardiovascular patients. Our primary sites of coverage are at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven and in collaboration with Cardiology we perform 6000 CT and 2800 MRI studies each year. Cardiac cross sectional imaging is performed with dedicated technologists on Siemens CT Force and Siemens Avanto MRI scanners.
The department provides a fertile environment for scholarly success. It has a track record for first class radiology research and includes dedicated MR, PET and Image Process Analysis Research Centers in our Bioimaging Sciences Division. In addition, the Yale Cardiovascular Medicine Translational Research Imaging Center has been created in order to advance cardiovascular research and provides access to hybrid SPECT/CT, digital fluoroscopy, ultrasound, micro SPECT/CT and high resolution microCT. A Vice Chair for Clinical Radiology Research provides resources, guidance and mentorship for faculty with academic ambition.
