The Solution Engineer role has the highest demand within our team, both currently and in the foreseeable future. They have relevant development skills, can speak intelligently to specific application and system architectures, and possess a strong understanding of modern development techniques. Leadership and communication skills are key, as they collaborate with business stakeholders and technical team members in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
Design major aspects of the application architecture, including components such as user interface, middleware, integration, security and infrastructure. Capable of managing technical projects and efforts related to the build out of IT platforms, infrastructure, and applications.
Provides technical leadership to development teams, ensuring specifications and requirements are implemented as articulated. Manages technical teams when necessary, inclusive of employees and contractors.
Curates and prioritizes backlogs to identify non-functional requirements, and ensures application design / specifications align to both non-functional and functional requirements.
Leads design and code reviews with onshore and offshore team members
Ensure solutions developed across organization align to enterprise standards and principles, leveraging common solutions and services
Bachelors degree and 6+ years of application development experience, 4+ years of application development leadership or Associates degree and 8+ years of application development experience, 6+ years of application development leadership or high school diploma and 10+ years of application development experience, 8+ years of application development leadership
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively to developers, solution architects, project/product managers, product owners and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in design, development, and architecture of digital application best practices.
2+ years developing cloud applications, preferably on Azure using resources such as Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, KeyVault, Service Bus, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) or other container-based technologies.
Demonstrated success leading development teams, both onshore and offshore and working in an Agile and/or Scrum development environments.
Demonstrate an emphasis on outcomes over artifacts, including the ability to plan and deploy business and IT initiatives.
Experience working within Agricultural or Consumer Packaged Goods industries.
Experience working as a Product Manager/Owner on an Agile SCRUM and/or Kanban teams.
Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks
