Role and Responsibilities â¢ Lead and participate in technical architecture initiatives that span across the Digital application portfolio â¢ Drive technical initiatives across the Digital portfolio that create more performant, scalable and stable interfaces â¢ Build strong relationships and streams of collaboration across teams and solutions â¢ Participate in building the architectural strategic direction for Digital â¢ Lead Proof-Of-Concepts and Spike Solutions â¢ Identify opportunities to leverage common solutions for cross-cutting concerns for broader and more complex functionality within Digital â¢ Partner with key stakeholders to establish and adopt architectural best practices, guidelines, and standards. Evangelize, mentor, and coach all on the same. â¢ Participate in building our reference architecture â¢ Provide guidance to developers and other stakeholders regarding the design of server applications, encompassing APIs and micro-services, containers, databases, cloud infrastructures, and cloud services, etc. â¢ Assist other architects and teams in designing solutions for scale and re-use â¢ Provide architectural leadership in identification of technology partnerships â¢ Drive buy vs build evaluations, including consideration of OSS
Required Qualifications â¢ 15-20 years as a software developer/architect. Experience leading technical architecture initiatives that impact many value streams (e.g. multiple Agile/SAFe Release Trains) â¢ Experience and proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, messaging queuing infrastructures, as well as AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud infrastructure and services â¢ Expert in the design and development of complex systems; employs a disciplined and rigorous approach â¢ Substantial experience with requirements analysis, estimation, systems and application design, and testing â¢ Expert in modern microservice design patterns â¢ Expert in distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control â¢ Recognized leader with technical teams, broad technical knowledge, and considered an expert in multiple technical subjects â¢ Experience with modern API patterns and how to build well-designed APIs â¢ Experience with multiple types of data stores and ETL systems â¢ Excellent collaboration, influencing, evangelization, negotiation, coaching, mentoring, and coalition-building skills. Ability to work with persons at all levels, from the most junior person to VP levels, in all job functions (e.g. product, UX, developers, QA, DevOps). â¢ Excellent verbal and written communications â¢ Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications â¢ Experience with SAFe Software Development Principles â¢ Health care and/or insurance industry experience
Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's Degree is desired.
