As the Technical Product Manager, you will perform the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to the development of effective cloud and enterprise software solution at Rockwell Automation. The role is responsible for definition of business requirements, coordinating engineering solution designs, often working with technology partners, through understanding of organizational and business needs and ensuring fit with architectural standards, best practices, and roadmap.
We are looking for a talented, passionate, and experienced Technical Product Manager to translate business requirements into the best technical implementation in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, as well as have the ability to lead on a project basis.
What you will do
Understand customer needs and requirements and represent them in well-written Product Concepts.
Take a leadership role in translating business requirements into a technical definition for the company's cloud, SaaS, and subscription offerings, including collaboration with product management, advanced technology, and engineering teams.
Collaboratively define the roadmap and define execution milestones for service hosting, global resiliency, availability, and failover to ensure a truly global service platform.
Work in collaboration with development teams and other technical lead resources to define and communicate best practices, approach, and direction for the technical aspects of our cloud-based business applications and solutions.
Partners with architecture and engineering leadership to establish technical vision and work closely with delivery teams to ensure adherence to vision and guidelines during implementation.
Identify cloud product needs, define and refine processes, and tools to meet organizational needs and business objectives.
Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success (or failure) of product launches, and make strategic decisions.
Understand the competitive markets in which we operate as well as the unique needs of our clients
Participate in all phases of the technology delivery lifecycle for related projects and initiatives, while continuously seeking ways to refine and enhance the implementation methodologies. The successful candidate will possess a broad range of technical experience, coupled with strong analytical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation skills, and business acumen.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Technical discipline.
Must be able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Experience in software development and/or technical product management with focus on cloud and SaaS offerings.
Creative design thinking, strong business acumen and technical know-how
Understanding of cloud technologies and methodologies used to deliver SaaS offerings.
Experience with Azure and/or collaborating with Microsoft is strongly preferred
Experience building working relationships with decision-makers including portfolio managers, architects, and delivery teams
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing (direct or indirect) a team of 3 to 5 people with varied roles and responsibilities.
Ability to execute a disciplined portfolio process in a large business unit.
