This position will be responsible for assisting advisors with the development and implementation of wealth management investment strategies for high net-worth clients & prospects (+$5M AUM). This role will navigate across the corporate enterprise to connect resources and support services to ensure a high quality advisor and client experience. This role will lead and support on highly complex issues/clients, escalated cases, and serve as a mentor to the Wealth Consultants and Wealth Associates. This is a highly visible analytically driven role.
Collaborate with Senior Investment Strategists, Planning Consultants, and Case Managers to assess, consult, develop, and present investment planning strategies to advisors and their HNW clients.
Prepare materials and participate in meetings with advisors and their HNW clients.
Lend expertise and help drive new projects specific to the HNW segment and WCS business unit. Work with Business Analysts to make certain data is accurately reflected within the firm's planning systems.
Work in partnership with cross-organizational teams and affiliates including WMS sales teams, Advanced Advice, RiverSource Life Insurance and Annuities, Ameriprise Banking & Cash Solutions, and Ameriprise National Trust Bank to develop solutions that can be integrated into a HNW client investment strategy.
Support the WCS marketing effort to promote and build the sales pipeline for the Wealth Consulting Service.
Collaborate with the WCS Case Managers to efficiently prioritize the existing case work and lead pipeline.
7+ years financial services experience and working with the Affluent market segment.
Experience with advisors and affluent clients assessing their needs, identifying suitable strategies and making actionable recommendations.
Demonstrate a moderate understanding of financial planning concepts including legacy/estate, retirement, business and tax planning strategies. Demonstrate a knowledge of advanced investment strategies and wealth management solutions (e.g., capital markets, managed accounts, and alternative investment products).
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client cases.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word Skills.
Experience with Naviplan, Thomson One and Morningstar Direct.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Active Series 7
Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 120 days.
Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 120 days
Any or all of the following certifications: CFA, CFP or CIMA.
