The Comprehensive Cancer Center at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is recruiting multiple program manager positions to support ongoing growth of strategic, operational, and scientific activities that advance our goals and mission.
Working in the Office of the Cancer Center Director and Executive Vice President, we believe that this is an exciting role for someone who wants to develop project plans and provide support for impactful and forward-thinking scientific and administrative projects. Cancer Center program managers will report to an experienced administrative director and apply their research and communication skills to synthesize data and disseminate information to help drive innovative programmatic initiatives and improve processes. Communications and writing skills and ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams will be important to help advance collaborative projects.

To support ongoing growth in activities led through the Cancer Center, our team is growing, and the Program Manager is a new role for our team. As such, it will provide you with the potential to shape the position and explore opportunities to contribute in new areas.
There are three (3) program manager positions available supporting the following:
Overarching administration of the National Cancer Institute designated St Jude Comprehensive Cancer Center. Focus areas include but are not limited to supporting the planning and implementation of programs and processes essential for the administration of the Cancer Center Support Grant; project coordination for a diverse array of initiatives; helping plan and organize leadership meetings and administrative retreats; and providing research program support.
Community outreach and education training components of the Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as a large, multi-year faculty recruitment initiative across Cancer Center programs. Additional focus areas include: developing evaluation tools; managing data-sets; data analysis; project coordination.
Scientific and strategic initiatives of the Comprehensive Cancer Center (scientific background preferred). Focus areas include research and development of written materials and presentations to help inform decision-making and report progress; organization of virtual scientific events; and coordination of collaborative teams to advance new projects.
Master's degree required; scientific/health care field, Health Administration or Business Administration preferred
PhD or equivalent preferred
Three (3) years of experience and expertise in formal or informal project coordination or management.
Experience with project management methodologies preferred.
Experience leading cross-functional teams preferred.
Clinical, basic or translational science, or population science/public health backgrounds preferred; research experience is a plus.
