Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Production of daily station audio recordings for broadcast and non-broadcast needs. Productions include:
Conduct live and taped interviews
Operate studio audio board during newscasts and other programming
Produce features for the station
Produce and anchor newscasts
Perform other tasks as assigned by managers
Serve as backup on-air announcer between programs, including but not limited to reading weather, underwriting and promotional announcements
Research, write, produce and/or edit news stories for all day parts and weekends, as well as web
Assist in acquiring and recording radio programming assets from multiple programming sources.
Assist in monitoring and recording all audio productions for broadcast on the station, and provide back up in operation of the radio station traffic systems.
Assist in setting up daily Zetta automated broadcast schedules. Edit programs for broadcast and non-broadcast use, utilizing satellite transmissions, digital audio production equipment and automation computer. Requires knowledge of digital audio production techniques.
The FM Content Producer also assists community volunteer producers with their programs productions as needed. Requires research skills, good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Participate in radio fundraising campaigns. Will assist to implement on air pledge drives.
Maintain the membership's vision of style and content of all breaks by following the message points written for on air talent.
Assist in efforts to create promotion spots for pledge drives, radio programs, television programs and underwriting possibilities
Must be able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
Must be comfortable working with, sharing knowledge and skills with Delta College students.
Associate degree in Communications or Broadcasting or equivalent knowledge and skills.
A minimum of one year related work experience.
Prior on-air broadcasting experience.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
The ability to work with minimal supervision.
A working knowledge of digital audio production, traffic and continuity systems.
A working knowledge of automated satellite recording systems, and windows operating systems.

Knowledge of Michigan and its major newsmakers, business and professional leaders is a plus
